The build

Built tiffanydecastro.com from zero into a production platform that runs an event design business in Baguio end-to-end. Clients browse the catalog, build estimates, and book events through a guided flow; the back office manages inquiries, bookings, payments, contracts, calendar, and full accounting (events, expenses, suppliers, workers, rentals, and reports). Delivered with Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Prisma 7 on PostgreSQL, Clerk authentication, Vercel Blob, and Resend + React Email, backed by Vitest unit tests and Playwright E2E and visual regression suites.

The stack

What each tool actually did on this project.

Next.js

Built the entire platform on Next.js 16 App Router with Turbopack and the React Compiler

React

Built the marketing site, estimator/booking flow, and admin back office with React 19

TypeScript

End-to-end type safety from Prisma models through server actions to UI components

Prisma

Modeled the full business domain — bookings, payments, contracts, accounting — with Prisma 7 migrations and seeds

PostgreSQL

Designed the relational schema powering estimates, bookings, and double-entry-style accounting reports

Tailwind CSS

Styled the whole platform with Tailwind CSS v4 and a shared design system

shadcn/ui

Composed the admin back office and client flows from shadcn/ui primitives

Clerk

Implemented authentication and role separation between clients and admin staff

Resend

Built transactional email flows (estimates, booking reminders) with Resend and React Email

Vercel

Deployed to Vercel with Blob storage for media and preview-based release workflow

CTO and Co-founder

Co-founded the business and owns the platform end-to-end as the sole engineer

  • Designed and built the client estimator-to-booking pipeline that turns inquiries into confirmed, contracted events
  • Built a complete back office: inquiries, bookings, payments, contracts, calendar, and accounting across events, expenses, suppliers, workers, and rentals
  • Set up production infrastructure on Vercel with Neon PostgreSQL, Clerk, Vercel Blob, and Resend, plus Dockerized local services for development
  • Established quality gates from the first commit: Vitest unit tests, Playwright E2E and visual regression suites, Biome linting, and commit conventions
